Recently, the winner-list of the Hebei Science and Technology Award has been officially announced. Led by Shinda Creative (Tangshan), a subsidiary of Huatong Cable Group, and jointly completed by Hebei Huatong Wires and Cables Group Co., Ltd., China Petroleum Engineering Materials Research Institute, and Chang'an University, the research project "Key Technologies and Applications of New Continuous Tubing for Heavy duty Oil and Gas Wells" has won the third prize of Hebei Province Science and Technology Award in 2025 for the outstanding technological innovation and engineering application value.

This award-winning project focuses on the pain points of harsh working conditions such as "deep, hot, acid, corrosion, and high pressure" in oil and gas extraction. It conducts systematic research and development around the material formula, manufacturing process, performance improvement, and on-site application of new continuous tubing, successfully breaking through multiple key technical bottlenecks and forming a complete set of technical solutions with independent intellectual property rights.
